Kala was stuck in a tree for 16 hours, from Thursday night to Friday morning.  She’s was way high up -
higher than the roof of our house, and couldn’t move higher or lower.

She braved some very heavy rain Thursday night, but on Friday morning we had some very gusty winds. The flimsy branch she wa son started to whip around with each gust. She cried all night, but she was REALLY upset when she started to ride the tree roller coaster.

We tried opening up a can of wet food and coaxing her down but she was completely petrified and scared to move.
Animal control referred us to the local fire department. The local
fire department referred us to animal control. We’ve left voice
messages for local tree services.

As we watched on Friday afternoon, a
particularly strong gust of wind almost blew her completely off the
tree. That convinced her to go for broke
and try to scale the tree backwards. It took 15 minutes or so, and a
few near falls, but she finally descended enough for us to reach her
with our ladder.

We hope she won’t be going anywhere near a tree for awhile.
